Profile of the Diabetes Center Dr. Tews<\/h3>\n

On July 1, 2006, Dr. Dietrich Tews opened his Diabetes Specialty Practice in the Offices of the Main-Kinzig-Clinics under the auspices of the Medical Care Center MVZ. He was assisted by one associate. His practice grew constantly and in a rhythm of 2 years, the practice space had to be enlarged. One specialty colleague joined and expanded the team and additions of staff followed periodically.<\/p>\n

In 2009 his specialty practice received the certification as \u201cDiabetes Center DDG\u201c (Treatment Center for Diabetes Type 1 and Type 2)<\/p>\n

In 2011 the certification as \u201cOutpatient Foot\u00a0 Care\u201d clinic followed that was issued by the German Diabetes Association (DDG)\u00ae.<\/p>\n

On April 1, 2012 the economic and legal separation from the Main-Kinzig-Clinics was executed. The Diabetes Center Dr. Tews, got its present face. The authorization for offering continued training for Inner Medicine and Diabetology allowed continued programs for the advanced training of physicians to specialty physicians for Inner Medicine and as diabetologists DDG. Also in 2015 and 2016 2 additional physicians strengthened the existing team in conjunction with this specialty training program.<\/p>\n

Since 2010 \u00a0Diabetes care for children is offered by Dr. Sabine Wenzel, Children\u2019s Diabetologist in cooperation with the Main-Kinzig-Clinics, Gelnhausen. Close ties to the Main-Kinzig-Clinics and a constantly growing network of different medical disciplines in the Main-Kinzig County allow a comprehensive care for our diabetes patients.<\/p>\n

Caring for non-mobile patients in their home by house visits has been added in 2016 by further training of a staff member as caregiver assistant VERAH\u00ae. Starting with July 1, 2016, we were pleased to offer our team more space for organizational tasks.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

This summer (2016), the Diabetes Center Dr. Tews with its staff that has grown to 29 members by now,\u00a0 is happy to celebrate its 10th year Anniversary.<\/p>\n
